West Side Revamp

Project Description

On the near West side of Bloomington, on a tree-lined street stood a house in need of repair. The residents were friends and we wanted to give them a comfortable space for them and their child. Also important was access to the backyard where they grow veggies, raise chicken and fix bikes. These people have a great eye for design and we were able to work together with Rust Peterson Construction to build their dream home.

Adding large windows brought the light in and created interesting angles that make the home sing. A fun color palette and tile pattern in the entryway gave a memorable moment. A wood burning stove warms the center of the home. The winding wood staircase leads people to the bedrooms above.
